I’ve been reading a few of the one star reviews and I have to agree. While I’ve owned many pieces of S&S over the years, the quality, service & repairs are getting worse and worse. Firstly they used to use14k now 9kt gold, at double the cost. Secondly if a piece breaks - which it will- many many times: the repairs are expensive and time consuming and often you have to chase the store / customer service team. Also they make pieces so fine, part of the appeal, but they snap, snag or just fall out so easily. I’ve been lucky with a gold bangle as it’s broken when I’ve been at home. But still have endured 4 rounds of repairs. But my $400 flatback “set & forget” fine gossamer earring fell out or snapped off and was lost. Now they have no policy for this. Either a new one at full freight or try a different brand. While I don’t expect to be covered for a lost piece but I do expect them not to break and be lost in the first place. And the. 10% off or something as good will. Just before Christmas I was in the Mosman store - every second customer was a repair!!! BUYER BE AWARE!!

Ordered a pair of solid gold earrings for Christmas. Was wearing them for only one day and discovered one had fallen out. They were secured appropriately. Reached out to customer service and was told that I would have to cover the cost to replace which I did. Now only a few days later, I removed the remaining earring from the box it arrived in and the earring snapped. I got one day of use out of these. Very disappointing quality from a premium brand.

My partner bought me the Nymph Diamond necklace for an anniversary present last October. Recently, the link between the chain and the pendant broke without doing anything to it so I went to the store at the Strand Arcade for repairs on 03/12/23. The staff took the necklace and assured my partner and I that we will receive a confirmation email for the repair and delivery fees within 3-5 business days. We did not receive this email within the told time. Instead, we had to reach out to S&S over email ourselves on 12/12/23, which then prompted a reply confirmation that the necklace was delivered to them and provided the fees. After paying the repair and delivery fees, S&S confirmed over email that this will take another 10 business days to repair. We reached out again on 27/12/23 as S&S did not provide any updates during this time, and was provided a response that this will now take 20 business days to repair. What we thought would take half a month to repair and deliver has already taken a whole month with no result. Absolutely disappointed by S&S's customer service, especially since we had to reach out to them for confirmation rather than the usual other way around - really feels like they have no interest in solving this issue.

Don’t waste your hard earned money on this company!! I purchased gold hoops for $950 two years ago. I barely wear them as I keep them for special occasions, however they snapped within the first year with Sarah & Sebastian refusing to repair them, after a lot of complaining though they agreed to repair them, however they have now AGAIN snapped a year later with barely any wear. I would have expected A LOT better quality for $950 - clearly VERY poor workmanship and/or quality! You’d be better off with Prouds or Michael Hill.

I have always been a big fan of S&S, in fact I have purchased over the year multiple presents for families members myself. Last year my husband got me a Petit Letter Necklace for Christmas which I loved and wore everyday since receiving it. In August the chain broke and fall down my neck without doing anything. I brought my the necklace to the closet store and they told they were going to send it to their jeweller to repair and let me know if I would have to pay or it would have been fixed without any charge. I explained everything and how it did happened and because the few months of life of the product I was expecting the necklace to be replaced out of charge. That wasn’t the case unfortunately. I was charge $70 to repair the faulty product. I think the quality of the products don’t match their prices. You pay for the name but nothing else unfortunately. A $400 necklace CAN’T BREAK after only 8 months of life. It’s not acceptable.

I love the outcome. The jewellry is exquisite and the piercing process was so smooth and easy. The instruction and aftercare is very clear. Highly recommend for service, quality and experience.
